Documentation Requirements

Fall 2024


  • September 6, 2024 - Resume due for everyone.
  • October 1-14, 2024- Research Document submitted to MSEN associate director for review except the new students that started in Spring 2024.
  • October 1, 2024 - MS Project due for all students.
  • October 31, 2024 - Research Document (with signatures) due for everyone except the new students that started in Spring 2024.
  • November 1, 2024 - Quad Slides due for all students

  • Please logon to Blackboard Learn with your email sign on.
  • After the deadline time, you will not be able to upload your documents.
  • DO NOT send your documents via email.

Documentation Requirements (from the MSEN Handbook)


  1. Required for MSEN 5811, 5911, 6811, 6911 enrolled students and highly recommended for all students

    • One page resume, (updated GPA, travel grants, etc.) List of all publications published, submitted and planned and all conferences attended on a separate page(s) (updated first full week of September and February)
    • Research document between student, major professor, and MSEN associate director (updated in October and March). Not required during the first semester of a degree program.) See a MSEN Handbook. Here is an example of the Research Document.
    • Research path defined in Microsoft Project (updated and submitted once per semester as described in the project document).
  2. Required for MSEN all students

    • Curriculum/degree plan (updated each semester as part of the advising cycle, and required before enrollment for the following semesters).
    • Research path defined in Microsoft Project updated and submitted once per semester.
    • Resume, including a list of all publications published, submitted and planned and all conferences attended (updated first full week of September and February).
